Tim Aucremann, Middleton, WI -- Tim has worked in the software industry for over 15 years, and at present he does technical architecture and project management for the University of Wisconsin. He has been involved with amateur photography off and on for over 20 years. Known as Lighthouse Joe online, he started visiting and photographing lighthouses just two years ago and continues to add to his collection at every opportunity. Derith Bennett, Valrico, FL -- Derith, affectionately known to her online lighthouse friends as the 'Lighthouse Pixie', always seems to manage to squeeze in visits to lighthouses into her busy schedule as an educator. Brady Indianapolis, IN -- Paul is Electronic News Gathering (ENG) Editing Coordinator with WISH-TV, Indianapolis IN, and an accomplished photographer. He is an avid collector of Harbour Lights lighthouses and his collection sparked an interest in photographing lighthouses. John Chidester, Scottsdale AZ -- John grew up in Port Huron Michigan where his 'home town' lighthouse, Fort Gratiot Light, always seemed to be playing some part in his life. John is the founder and owner of www.LighthouseStickers.com, the webmaster for Harbour Lights website and organized tours of lighthouses in 1997 and 2001 in conjunction with Harbour Lights Reunions. Jeremy D'Entremont -- Jeremy is a native of the Boston area and lives today in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. His articles and photos of lighthouses have appeared in Lighthouse Digest and many other magazines, newspapers and books. His website New England Lighthouses: A Virtual Guide is a comprehensive look at almost 200 lighthouses in the northeast. He's the president of the Friends of Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse, the historian and webmaster for the American Lighthouse Foundation, and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Friends of Flying Santa. Francine Dollinger -- Francine reports that good friends from Maine took her to her first lighthouse, Portland Head, and she became hooked. Her pictures turned out great and ever since then she has been "...dragging my husband from state to state to photograph lighthouses..." We can all understand that, can't we?. Ned Fenimore, Portland, OR -- Ned Fenimore is an Oregon native who has lived in Oregon nearly all his life. Today he lives in Portland and works in the telecommunications industry . Ned's interest in lighthouses and photography merged when he spent the summer of 1999 visiting and photographing all of Oregon's lighthouses. When he was a growing up in New Hampshire, his family often vacationed in York, ME, home of "The Nubble" lighthouse. Ron is the past president of the New England Lighthouse Lovers (NELL) club. View Ron's Gallery of Lighthouse Photography. Bert Guerin, Bellingham, MA -- Bert spent 34 years as a member of the Bellingham Police Department, retiring in 1997. He and his wife Sharon now spend a great deal of time "chasing" and photographing lighthouses. The first lighthouse they visited together was Beavertail Light on Jamestown Island, Rhode Island. On the way home from that trip in 1997, they stopped and bought the replica of Beavertail by Harbour Lights at a local Mall as a reminder of that special day together. If for some reason they should miss an opportunity to view a lighthouse, they have a grand-daughter Brittany who was hooked on lighthouses at the young age of five. She is very quick to suggest "Nana, Papa, I've got a great idea; let's go see a lighthouse!" Dave Hannum, Kokomo, IN -- Dave is one of the founders of the Hoosier Lighthousing Club, formed in 2001. The club has "adopted" the Old Michigan City Light, performing considerable work at the light. Dave also maintains memberships in numerous other lighthouse organizations, including Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association where he now serves as the Lake Erie Conference Coordinator. Dave has planned lighthousing adventures for his club and for members of the Collector Forums on several occasions. Dave travels to visit lighthouses as often as possible, and enjoys lighthousing with fellow club members and friends he has made through his participation in the Collector Forums at www.Lighthousekeepers.com. Gary Martin, Kalamazoo, MI - Gary is a physical chemist now working in the pharmaceutical industry in Kalamazoo, Michigan, which gives him easy access to the lighthouses that dot the shores of Lake Michigan. He is a former resident of North Carolina and has traveled extensively with his cameras. Gary has been doing photography for more than 30 years, very seriously for the past 10, developing his two specialties: remarkable color photographs of lighthouses in low light and in severe storm and gale conditions. Gary maintains an extensive website www.coastalbeacons.com. He also sells his work off his website as well as in galleries along the Lake Michigan shore, in Illinois and in North Carolina. His photographs hang in more than 20 states and in more than a half dozen foreign countries. Bob McKeon, North Attleboro, MA - Bob is a 32-year veteran of the Mass. State Police. Bob and wife Lorna spend their summers island-hopping anywhere from Nantucket to Long Island, NY. Their favorite island is Block Island, RI. Bob's hobbies are collecting Harbour Lights, lighthouse photography, and just enjoying the splendor the coastline and islands offer. Larry Nohe, Bel Air, MD -- Larry lives in Bel Air, MD with his wife, Donna, and two daughters, Kristin and Amanda. He works as a computer software and hardware technician. Born in Havre de Grace, MD, just a few blocks from Concord Point lighthouse, he didn't become interested in lighthouses until the age of 36, when he discovered Cape Neddick on a family trip to Maine, which also sparked a new interest in photography. Now almost every vacation includes at least a few lights. He is the webmaster of Larry's Lights. Shirin Pagels -- Norwalk, CT Shirin’s interest in lighthouses started about 4 years ago after visiting the Tarrytown lighthouse along the Hudson River. Between attending group meetings for almost a dozen lighthouse societies, taking trips to photograph lights or giving tours of the Sandy Hook lighthouse, lighthouses are a part of almost every weekend for Shirin. Currently, Shirin is the President of the New England Lighthouse Lovers (NELL). Terry Pepper -- Roanoke, IN - Born and raised in the UK, Terry has a long standing love of history, writing and photography. He puts these three interests together well in his website seeing The Light, dedicated to recounting the histories of the lights of lakes Superior, Michigan and Huron. Actively involved in lighthouse restoration, Terry serves as a Director of the Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association, and while he lives in the cornfields of Indiana, his heart can be found somewhere in the Straits of Mackinac. Ralph Polovich - Port Huron, MI - Ralph's photographic career began with pictures taken of the aftermath of a tornado which ripped through his hometown of Port Huron MI in June of 1953. He retired in 2001 from the Port Huron Times Herald after 48 years as a staff and chief photographer. Bruce Roberts, Morehead City, NC -- Bruce's lighthouse photographs can be found in many magazines and books -- including an outstanding series of lighthouse guide books which he co-authored with Ray Jones for the Globe-Pequot Press. Bruce and his wife, Cheryl Shelton-Roberts are founders of the Outer Banks Lighthouse Society. Lorie Roe, Sandy, UT -- Lorie works with her husband John in their custom home building business. She got hooked on lighthouses while on a trip to San Francisco in 1996. She loves to travel and incorporates lighthouse viewing and photography into her trip planning. Now all her family and friends say, "I think of you," anytime they see something lighthouse-related. Bob Scroope, Long Island, NY -- Bob is an administrator with the County of Suffolk and is very active in the celebration and preservation of lighthouses on Long Island. He helped to found the Long Island Lighthouse Chapter of the US Lighthouse Society. Art Seaman, Jackson TN -- A native of New Jersey, Art Seaman is presently a Quality Assurance Manager for a manufacturer in Jackson, Tennessee where he lives with his wife Mariann, his twin sons Daniel and David, their basset hound Daisy and assorted other critters. In addition to lighthouses, Art enjoys history, music, reading, playing, coaching and watching hockey, growing bonsai, collecting seashells and Native American pottery, aquarium keeping and being outdoors. Jenifer Selwa Fremont MI -- A professional portrait and wedding photographer since 1990 Jenifer does lighthouse photography seriously. Some of her images have been published by the West Michigan Tourist Association in their annual Circle Michigan Lighthouse Tour Guide. Bob & Sandra Shanklin, Fort Walton Beach FL - The Shanklins may be the only couple who have photographed every lighthouse in the 50 United States. Stephen Sostaric, Highland, IN - Stephen (AKA 'Jakers' or 'Jake' to his online friends) is a student at Syracuse University. His interest in lighthouses started early as he was growing up around the Great Lakes. He is a talented photographer whose work can also been seen at the Gallery of Lighthouse Photography. Ross Tracy, Salem, NH: Ross is the administrator of www.lighthousing.net, an online community of lighthouse enthusiasts, and also has a personal site for his photography at www.lightdreamer.com. His images have appeared in Lighthouse Digest, several lighthouse group publications, and more recently in New England’s Lighthouses: A Photographic Portrait, one of the first books to contain all of New England’s lighthouses in photographs. He is also the webmaster and designer for the Outer Banks Lighthouse Society and Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station. Sean Thompson, Myrtle Beach SC -- Sean Thompson completed a 20 year career in the US Coast Guard in December 2000. He served in Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, and California, including ANT team leader where he was the lightkeeper for the Georgetown SC, and New Point Loma CA lighthouses. Jake Toering -- St. Joseph MI -- Jake Toering was a Michigan State Police Post Commander and retired in 1994 after 29 years of service. He and his wife Gloria have traveled many miles to view and photograph lighthouses. They really enjoy lighthouse cruises and bus trips with other collectors. Jake is a member of United States Lighthouse Society, the Great Lakes Lighthouse Keepers Association, the Hoosier Lighthouse Club in Indianapolis, Indiana, and the Wisconsin Lighthouse District Club. Ken & Barb Wardius, Glendale WI -- Ken & Barb are the authors and photographers of the book Wisconsin Lighthouses - A Photographic & Historical Guide.
